While it has been a busy day in the college football landscape, the Super Bowl odds are still the main story of the week. Nonetheless, here is a recap of recruiting day:

Florida Gators

At first, it looked like Urban Meyer would be retiring and the Florida Gators would be at a loss of direction. Then he decided to come back after he was feeling much better and the Gators all of the sudden end up with the best recruiting class around.

The Gators came off as bandits with one of the best recruiting classes of all-time. The Gators had the best recruiting class across the board and they will be powerhouses for years to come.

USC Trojans

Lane Kiffin switched jobs from Tennessee to USC and the Trojans didn’t miss a beat. A lot of people were wondering how things would be post Pete Carroll but obviously recruiting won’t be a problem. The Trojans nabbed the second-best class of recruits and should continue to be the Pac 10 leaders.

Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers were the biggest surprise on recruiting day as they picked up several key recruits. The Tigers were not expected to be among the Top 10 teams or even the best classes in the nation but they came off very well.

The excitement is back Auburn after a day with 27 signees.
